It is more likely for parents and caregivers of young children, birth to 5 years old, to bring their child to a well child visit, then it is for them to bring their child to the dentist. As a medical team member, you are already assessing the child's overall health. While you are examing the head, ears, nose and throat, we ask that you stop in the mouth to make an assessment of the teeth, before proceeding to the throat.
